Young girl taken care of by our Court of Protection team
Parents of teenage client can concentrate on their role as carers rather than paperwork now that our Court of Protection team is involved in her case
Grace is a 15 year old girl with cerebral palsy. She is unable to communicate, is a wheelchair user and requires 24 hour care.
Her clinical negligence claim, against the hospital where she was born, is nearing completion. The Court of Protection team at Potter Rees Dolan were approached to act as professional deputies.
We have been appointed to liaise closely with the solicitor dealing with the claim, with Grace's family and with the various professionals involved in her case.
This is to make sure a suitable property is bought and to set up and fund a reliable care package.
The appointment of Potter Rees Dolan as professional deputies enabled Grace's parents to concentrate on their role as parents and carers and we can deal with the paperwork involved in a cost effective way.
The names and identifying details of the client have been changed to protect the privacy of individuals involved.
