Elliott Clifton-Thompson
Elliott is a Solicitor within our Personal Injury team, having joined Potter Rees Dolan in early 2021.
Education & Career
Elliott studied Law at Lancaster University and graduated in 2015. He was called to the Bar in 2016, before qualifying as a solicitor in 2020. What inspired Elliott’s career in law? He says:
"Law is a career in which your success is entirely driven by your commitment to improving your skills at gathering, understanding, and presenting information in the most persuasive way to further your client’s case. Striving to do that at the highest possible level, in an industry where good work changes the lives of seriously injured clients, is incredibly rewarding."
Elliott joined PRD’s Legal 500 and Chambers listed Personal Injury team in 2021, specialising in catastrophic injury cases including those involving brain injury and chronic pain. Elliott began his experience in Serious Injury in 2016 assisting on high value matters whilst running a multi-track caseload. In 2017 he became comfortable managing his own six figure settlements and was promoted into a fee earning role which included him dealing with cases up to £500,000 whilst also assisting on catastrophic injury matters. Elliott says of joining PRD:
"I look forward to being able to help the most seriously injured clients get the help and compensation they require at often the most difficult time in their life."
Elliott frequently runs for charity and has worked with Baby Lifeline – the mother and baby charity, as well as with Supportability, a North West charity providing support to adults and children with the most serious disabilities. He has also previously worked for the Citizen’s Advice Bureau and the Nightline mental health charity.
Outside of work...
Outside of work Elliott’s main hobbies include running and hiking – he also enjoys hill running in adverse weather conditions!
