Greg Poole
Greg is a Partner within our Court of Protection team & Director of Potter Rees Dolan Trust Corporation Limited.
Education & career
Greg studied law at Newcastle Upon Tyne, graduating in 2002, and completed his LPC whilst at Northumbria University.
After qualifying as a solicitor in 2005, Greg specialised in Private Client work including wills, probate, estate planning and powers of attorney. Greg is also a Trust and Estate Practitioner having passed all the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioner (STEP) diploma exams as well as the STEP advanced certificate in will drafting and the advanced certificate in cross-border estates. What inspired Greg to become a solicitor?
"Equity and equality – I’ve always wanted to help make sure people receive the help they need and are treated fairly"
In 2017, Greg decided to focus on Court of Protection work and joined the expert team here at Potter Rees Dolan. When asked what he enjoys most about his job, he says:
"I enjoy all aspects of Court of Protection work, but I find the most rewarding part to be getting to know the client and their family so that we can try and make their lives as normal as possible."
Outside of work...
Greg is an avid Manchester City fan and has an obsession with anything football, however as a recent Achilles’ tendon injury has unfortunately put an end to his playing days, Greg's main hobby is photography - he is a very keen amatuer!
