Education & career
Helen origionally studied Modern History at Durham University, graduating in 1995. She then went on to study for the PGDL and LPC at Manchester Metropolitan University and qualified as a solicitor in 2005. Helen comments:
“My interest in law came from wanting to find a career which I felt would make good use of the skills I’d acquired in the course of my degree. I chose clinical negligence because I enjoy working with people but also find the medicine really interesting, so it was an ideal fit for me.”
In 2018, Helen joined the renowned clinical negligence team here at Potter Rees Dolan - working closely with Helen Dolan, Lesley Herbertson and Gill Edwards. Helen says she is passionate about the work that she does, both because of the difference that a successful claim can make to the life of an individual client, and also because such cases play a fundamental role in improving patient safety.
