Nicola Mepstead
Specialising in Personal Injury, Nicola predominantly deals with brain injury; but also spinal cord injury and amputation cases of various degrees from catastrophic to the more subtle, but nevertheless devastating injuries caused by accidents at work, road traffic collisions and assaults.
Education & career
Nicola studied Social History at Sheffield University, before training to become a solicitor through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. She gained FCILEx status in 2002 and qualified as a solicitor in 2004.
Nicola specialised in both Personal Injury and Family Law at another North West firm, before joining Potter Rees Dolan in 2006 and being promoted to Partner in 2019.
Nicola says:
I am well aware of the effects of brain injury not just on the person directly affected but also on their families, both through the cases I have dealt with and the five years I volunteered as Secretary of Headway Halton & St Helens.
Outside of work...
Nicola loves nothing more than curling up on the sofa watching a DVD with a bottle of red wine or, having attended cookery lessons for both, making Thai or Malaysian dishes for friends and family.
