Tonight there will be an expected 300,000 people heading into Manchester for 'Mad Friday' as the last Friday before Christmas.
But THINK! have highlighted the risks of driving the morning after a big night out with a new campaign.
According to the Department for Transport, an estimated 5,500 people fail a breath test between 6am and midday each year which equates to an average of 15 per day.
Figures show that 58% of people who have four or more drinks on a night out sometimes risk driving the following morning but only a third admit they are aware they could still be over the limit.
The campaign shows how you could still be over the legal limit many hours after our last drinks and how sleep, coffee and cold showers don't help to sober you up.
Hugh Potter, head of personal injury and Partner at PotterReesDolan, said:
This is timely advice for us all. It’s easy to overlook the ‘morning after’ effect.
