Cyclist crash on busy dedicated bike superhighway

A video showing a crash between two cyclists on the cycle-superhighway in London was posted online.

The footage (below) shows the head-on collision where one cyclist attempts to overtake another and colliding the a bike travelling in the other direction.

Urging others to slow down on the cycle superhighway (CS3), the cyclist who uploaded the video says the problem is people not being prepared to slow down.

Jeremy Smith, personal injury solicitor at PotterReesDolan, said:

Cyclists aren’t perfect by any means but at least collisions between cyclists don’t usually result in serious injuries, and it seems no one was seriously hurt here, thank goodness. Careless drivers often cause far worse damage. The cycle superhighway still allows the vast majority of cyclists to ride in safety.
