New figures show there was a decrease in the number of cyclists injured in Greater Manchester last year.
The Department for Transport (DfT) have revealed the locations and severity of the cyclist injuries from 2015.
Greater Manchester was one of the areas to see the biggest decrease in cyclist injuries compared to the hundreds of other local authorities in the country.
Jerry Smith, Solicitor at PotterReesDolan, said:
This is good news although there are still far too many cyclists being injured on the roads and there is plenty of work to be done to make cycling safer for everyone.
Although there was a 33% drop in the number of cyclists involved in road accidents compared to 2014, there was actually an increase in the number of cyclists killed.
Three cyclists were fatally injured on the road in Greater Manchester in 2015 compared to one in the area the previous year.
