It is easy to overlook important causes when we are all caught up in recent events, but it is worth noting that today is World Prematurity Day which is raising awareness of issues relating to premature birth.
We are lucky to have so many dedicated neonatal nurses and doctors in the UK who are helping to care for premature babies and we also have some fantastic charities who have been raising funds for years to provide money for research and also training and equipment for neonatal units.
I am very proud to be part of Babylifeline which is now in its 35th year of providing vital training and equipment to help staff to monitor women in labour and also to care for babies in the neonatal period.
Why not read about some clinical negligence case studies of our clients at PotterReesDolan who have had premature babies or complications during birth.
