I managed to qualify earlier in the year and had been training hard ever since.
The course was fairly tough with some hills towards the end but I was pleased with my time of 3 hours 38 minutes, which at my age of 63 guarantees me a place in the London Marathon 2019 as a Good for Age runner.
The whole day was a fantastic experience and wearing the England vest is something I will treasure for years to come. Now for plenty of rest and recovery!
