A team from Potter Rees Dolan took part in the Keswick to Barrow (K2B) Walk at the weekend in the sunny Lake District.
The team donned their walking boots (and running shoes in some cases!) and took to the hills to begin the challenge, all in aid of Headway South Cumbria, a charity which supports those with brain injury in the area.
With a total of 2,000 people taking part in the Lake District challenge, the weather was on their side with a beautiful dry day.
Some team members took part in the slightly shorter, but still very challenging, route from Coniston to Barrow which is 21 miles. Not satisfied with walking the route, our Jeremy Smith ran the whole journey!
Elliott Clifton-Thompson, personal injury solicitor at Potter Rees Dolan, who took part in the event and decided to run the K2B route as an ultra-marathon, said:
I was also happy to have completed my first ultra, running the full 37 miles of the Keswick to Barrow in 5 hours 57 min and coming in 11th place overall. More importantly than all of that, the PRD team alone have raised hundreds of pounds for Headway South Cumbria, which is fantastic, and I want to thank all those that supported us.
