A new leg brace has been launched known as the world's first 'Orthotronic' mobility system for neurological issues of the lower limbs.
The C-Brace, which you can see in action here, provides an alternative option for those with a spinal cord injury.
Available exclusively to Dorset Orthopaedic, the leg brace from Ottobock offers a number of features including stumble control and additional modes for comfort.
The system allows the user to walk with more ease and less concentration as well as helping natural movement to occur.
When watching the system in action, you can see how the brace helps the user to go beyond simply locking and unlocking the knee joint by helping with gait and support.

Another fascinating development in prosthetics crossing over into spinal injury which could help those living with types of paralysis achieve their ambitions to walk.
