Local investigations into the deaths of babies and those born with severe brain injuries are not good enough, according to a new report. The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) has published their first annual report into the issue with an improvement programme: Each Baby Counts.

Paralysed man walks again thanks to bionic exoskeleton

The equipment has two motors at the hips, two at the knees, the ankles are spring-loaded and there are sensors on the feet and is powered by a back-pack battery and it is hoped the technology will be developed by using the person's own muscles to help them walk by using electrodes

Landmark MRI scan for newborn babies in Manchester hospital

New scanning equipment for newborn babies was used for the first time at a Manchester hospital. Baby Minnie was scanned using the equipment rather than being transferred to another hospital thanks to investment in neonatal monitoring.
